OCT 3/4 -OTFP

Seminoma stain with anti OCT3/4

OCT 3/4 -OTFP

OCT 3/4 is a 18 kDa domain transcription factor encoded by POU5F1 gene. It is expressed in germ cells and stem cells, downregulated in all somatic tissues. Octamer binding transcription factor (OCT) 3/4 is essential for pluripotency and self renewal of stem cells. OCT3/4 is the most informative marker in germ cell tumors diagnostics and is expressed in the precursor lesions gonadoblastoma and carcinoma in situ, as well as in invasive embryonal carcinoma and seminomatous tumors.
